Landon (boy)

• A character from one of my favorite books: A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks. This name is just very simple, but it really works well for anyone. It means "long hill".
• another name my boyfriend and I discussed. He had a family member named Landon, and one of my really good childhood friends is named Landon. It sounds nice and isn't very common.
• Landon Chadwick: This name is very rich sounding
• Landon Jarett:  Ever since the movie "A walk to remember" I love the name Landon and Jarett because it is unique

Landon is an English surname derived from a place name composed of the Old English elements lang "long" and tun meaning "hill." As a first name it was used sporadically throughout the late 1800s and 20th century, but it took off in popularity in the 1990s. As of 2010 it was #28 for boys in the US top 7000.
